We have a 2006 VF3 and I keep getting the 'maintenance due' warning, honestly I don't know fully what kind of maintenance is due, the guy that was running this machine since we purchased it quit at the end of 2012 and I have inherited it. The manual instructs about coolant filter cleaning which I have done but also mentions adding gear lube at the top of the spindle, our machine doesn't have the gear box option so I'm guessing that doesn't apply and our spindle is lubed from the way oil reservoir. I have climbed on top of the machine and see nowhere I could add lube or grease, but it's possible I'm missing something.
I would appreciate any info some one can give me such as what maintenance I am missing and how to reset the 'maintenance due' warning. I have called HAAS and asked to have a maintenance guy come out and go over the machine with me but they claim to be way behind and aren't being very helpful. What you have is a laundry list of items that are set off by machines timer. They may or may not even be something for your particular machine.
They can be adjusted as required, On/Off or modify set time. While it is not a bad idea to schedule maintenance.I choice to use my own schedule instead of a machines timer for most items. Not a bad idea to figure out what needs to be maintained before you have a problem.mostly clean and lube moving parts, change enclosure air filter as needed, for me yearly. Change gearbox oil, check and clean compressed air line filters. Clean out coolant tank and filter.pretty simple stuff.
